Description

The ELIZAVECCA CER-100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment is a Korean hair mask for dry, damaged hair. It coats each strand with ceramides, hydrolysed proteins, and silicones to seal the cuticle and reduce frizz. Most people notice softer, smoother hair from the very first wash. This treatment suits bleached, colour-treated, or high-porosity hair best. Ceramide NP helps close the cuticle and lock in moisture. Panthenol draws water into the hair shaft to improve softness and flexibility. Hydrolysed Collagen, Keratin, and Silk smooth the surface and add a gentle sheen. This is a cuticle-sealing and conditioning treatment. It works at the surface of the hair, not deep inside the cortex. If your hair feels rough, tangles easily, or looks dull after washing, this is a solid weekly step. The formula is paraben-free and sulphate-free.

What This Hair Treatment Does for Your Hair

The ELIZAVECCA CER-100 works by coating the outside of each hair strand. It uses ceramides, silicones, and hydrolysed proteins to do this. These ingredients settle on the cuticle surface rather than going deep into the shaft. The result is hair that looks glossier, combs through easily, and sits much softer to the touch.

This type of treatment is sometimes called a protein mask. It is more accurate to call it a cuticle-sealing treatment. The proteins here are broken into small molecules that stick to the hair surface. They fill uneven patches and cut down friction between strands. That is what makes the difference you notice after one wash.

It is not a bond-building treatment. It will not restructure hair broken by bleach at a deep level. For the right hair type, though, the surface improvement is real and visible. Hair that was dry and tangled comes out of the shower in noticeably better condition.

The Key Ingredients Inside

Ceramide NP, also known as Ceramide 3, is the standout ingredient. Ceramides are lipid molecules found naturally in hair and skin. They hold the cuticle layers together and reduce water loss from the shaft. Dyeing, bleaching, and heat styling break these ceramides down over time. The hair becomes porous, fragile, and frizzy as a result. Adding ceramides back helps re-seal the cuticle and restore a smoother surface.

Panthenol, or Pro-Vitamin B5, draws moisture into the hair shaft and keeps it there. This improves softness and flexibility. Less flexibility means more breakage when you brush or style. Glycerin works alongside Panthenol to keep hair hydrated between washes.

Hydrolysed Collagen, Keratin, and Silk are the three proteins in the formula. Each has been broken down into small fragments that cling to the hair fibre. Keratin closely mirrors the structure of the hair itself. It smooths those uneven patches and reduces frizz at the surface. Silk adds a fine sheen to each strand without any greasy appearance.

How Your Hair Responds

Dry, bleached, or high-porosity hair tends to respond well to this treatment. These hair types have a raised cuticle that tangles easily and catches light unevenly. The coating action of the CER-100 smooths those edges down. Hair looks shinier, behaves more predictably, and is much easier to style.

Many people find they use less styling product once this becomes part of their routine. The baseline condition of the hair improves. Strands that used to come out of the wash coarse and tangled now come out softer. Drying time can also be quicker, because a smooth cuticle lets water run off more easily.

Fine or low-porosity hair may find the silicone content heavier than they need. If your hair already has a healthy cuticle, a strong coating on top can leave strands sitting flat. Using a smaller amount or rinsing more thoroughly usually solves this. Applying only to the ends rather than the full length is another option.

How to Use It in Your Routine

Apply the treatment to freshly shampooed, towel-dried hair. Work a generous amount through the mid-lengths and ends. Avoid the roots if your scalp is oily. Leave it on for three to five minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. A brief cool rinse at the end helps close the cuticle.

Use it once or twice a week as a regular conditioning step. You can use it more often during heavy heat styling, chemical processing, or dry weather. It works in place of your usual conditioner on treatment days. Pair it with a heat protectant before any blow-drying or straightening. The formula is paraben-free and sulphate-free.

Who This Treatment Is For

This treatment is a strong match for anyone with dry, colour-treated, bleached, or frizzy hair. It works particularly well for high-porosity hair that has a coarse surface and never quite looks smooth. Heat damage and repeated chemical processing take a toll on the cuticle. This treatment gives you a practical and affordable way to address that.

If your hair tangles and breaks every wash day, this coating treatment offers a calm starting point. It will not undo years of damage in one go. It will change how your hair looks and behaves from the very first use. Give it a regular place in your wash routine and see how much easier wash day becomes.

How to Use

Shampoo your hair as normal, then gently squeeze out excess water. Your hair should be damp but not dripping. Apply a generous amount of the treatment from mid-lengths to ends. Work it through evenly with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Avoid applying directly to the scalp unless your scalp is very dry. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. For drier or more damaged hair, you can leave it on for up to 10 minutes under a shower cap. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Finish with a brief cool rinse to help close the cuticle and boost smoothness once hair is dry. Frequency: use 1-2 times per week as a regular conditioning step. Use more often during periods of heat styling or chemical processing. This treatment can replace your usual conditioner on treatment days. Routine placement: use after shampooing, before any leave-in products or styling. Follow with a heat protectant if you are blow-drying or straightening. Storage: keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Replace the lid between uses.

Hair damaged by colouring

I’ve been trying to heal my hair from colouring damage and tried everything - oiling, keratin treatments, protein treatments, Olaplex, you name it. This tube did more in a single wash than any of it!

Bleached balayage

I bleach (balayage) my dark brown hair quite a bit and this stuff keeps it smooth and soft. It gives me similar results to Olaplex No 3, but at a fraction of the cost.

Frizz and flat, lifeless texture

It really brought out the natural curl in my hair and calmed down my frizz, especially on the top of my head where I have shorter hairs. I was always so afraid for trying protein in fear of protein overload and what not but I decided why not since my hair texture seemed to be lacking despite incorporating hydrating products into my routine! I’m very surprised with the results!

Highlights & breakage

I have highlights and breakage so I also use the same line of conditioner mixed with the cer 100 protein treatment and follow with the CER 100 ion injection leave-in. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all and helps more than Olaplex. Also inexpensive.

Bleached, thin hair

15 minutes in my hair and it absolutely did not disappoint, it made my bleached hair soft in the first wash! Definitely more pocket friendly than Olaplex no.3 Will Definitely purchase again

CHB note: despite the comparisons, this isn't a bond-repair dupe — it's a protein treatment, a different mechanism. Reviewers simply find it works for damaged hair on its own terms.
Dry, colour-treated hair

The Elizavecca CER 100 collagen coating protein ion injection and the collagen ceramide coating protein treatment have been a lifeline for my dry color treated hair! I bought them based on recommendations from this sub and I’m so glad I did! I’ll definitely be repurchasing since they work so well and so inexpensive!

Hair through multiple bleachings

2B low porosity here and I have bleached hair. … use Elizavecca cer 100 as protein treatment once a week, and use oil my hair as needed. These really helped my hair become more manageable and avoid breakage since it's been through multiple bleachings.

Dry, wavy hair

My hair HG is a Korean product -- elizavecca CER 100 protein treatment. I use it 1x to 2x a month as a dry wavy haired gal, and it makes my hair unbelieeevably soft.

Three quiet minutes in the shower, for a week of smoother hair.
