The SPF Habit
For everyone who owns sunscreen but never finishes a tube
One sunscreen you enjoy, one amount rule, one top-up trick. The habit that beats every serum.
2 weeks to lock the habit. The payoff lasts for decades.
This is for you if…
- You wear SPF on holiday and call that covered
- One white-cast memory still makes your choices
- You apply a pea-sized amount, sometimes
- Once makeup is on, you never top up
- You think cloudy days do not count

Find your texture
MorningA sunscreen you will actually want to wear
Every option here is SPF50+ PA++++. Full protection is the entry ticket, not the difference. The difference is how each one feels. And feel decides whether you wear it daily.
Why it matters: The SPF habit does not fail on knowledge. It fails on feel. A greasy or chalky sunscreen gets skipped by Wednesday. Korean sunscreens became famous by fixing exactly that.
How to do it: Pick one from the guide below. Wear it every morning for a week before judging. It should vanish into your skin within two minutes.
Pick the one you want. You can also add another product from this step.
How to choose between these
Dewy glow: BOJ Relief Sun, the cult classic. Fresh and weightless: BOJ Aqua-Fresh. Shine-prone skin: Haruharu Airyfit. Moisturiser and SPF in one: the Jumiso one-step. Very reactive skin: Haruharu Pure Mineral, the gentlest route.
Apply enough
MorningThe protection on the label, on your face
SPF ratings are tested at a set amount. Far more than most people use. Use half the amount and you get far less than half the protection.
Why it matters: This is how sunscreen quietly fails most often. The product is not weak. The layer is thin.
How to do it: Two finger-lengths — a line down your index and middle finger — for face and neck. Last skincare step of the morning. Give it two minutes before makeup.
Top up
MorningAfternoon protection without redoing your face
Sunscreen wears out as it works. By mid-afternoon the morning layer has done its shift. A stick glides over makeup and tops it back up in thirty seconds.
Why it matters: The top-up is the half of the habit almost everyone skips. Nobody wants to re-cream over makeup at a desk. Sticks remove that excuse.
How to do it: Swipe generously over cheeks, nose, forehead and ears around midday if you are out and about. Press in with fingertips, or do not. It is fine as is.
Pick the one you want. You can also add another product from this step.
How to choose between these
The BOJ Matte stick if you want shine control with your top-up. The Isntree stick if your skin leans dry. It hydrates as it tops up.
Lips too
MorningThe zone everyone forgets, covered
Lips have almost no natural sun defence and no oil glands. The least protected skin on your face, and among the most exposed.
Why it matters: Sore, chapped lips get blamed on weather. Often it is simply unprotected sun, every day, for years.
How to do it: A swipe of lip SPF after your sunscreen. Again whenever lips feel dry through the day.
Pick the one you want. You can also add another product from this step.
