Body Basics
Face-grade care, neck down
Three easy shower habits. The same gentle care as your face, from the neck down.
Adds about 2 minutes to a shower. Itchy shins settle in about 2 weeks.
This is for you if…
- Shins that itch every winter
- Tight skin after every shower — you think it is normal
- Body lotion you own but forget
- Spots on your back or chest that face products never reach
- A cared-for face and a bar-of-soap body

The steps
Wash
Morning & eveningA shower that does not cost your skin its coat
A kind body wash cleans with milder suds and leaves some goodness behind. The difference between washing your skin and stripping it.
Why it matters: That itch across your shins after showers is not 'dry skin you have'. It is dry skin being made daily, by hot water and harsh gel. Body skin follows the same rules as your face. It just complains later.
How to do it: Warm, not hot, water. Keep showers sensible. Lather with hands or a soft cloth. Save scrubbing tools for feet and elbows.
Moisturise — the ninety-second window
Morning & eveningSoft skin that lasts past the towel
Lotion on shower-damp skin traps the water still sitting on the surface. The same damp-skin rule as your face. A bigger payoff, because body skin has less oil of its own.
Why it matters: The step everyone owns and skips. Body skin dries, marks and ages like face skin. It just gets a fiftieth of the care. One kept habit closes most of that gap.
How to do it: Within about ninety seconds of towelling off, while skin is still damp-cool. Shins, elbows and anywhere that itches get a second pass.
- Niacinamide
Pick the one you want. You can also add another product from this step.
How to choose between these
Derma:B Mild Moisture for simple daily comfort. APLB's niacinamide lotion to carry the brightening thread. It works on body tone the same way. Slowly and honestly.
Target (if body breakouts are the issue)
Morning & eveningBack and chest spots, met where they start
An acid wash clears the old-cell and oil build-up that blocks body pores. Chest, back and shoulders. Where thicker skin and sweat make plain washing not quite enough.
Why it matters: Back spots are not a washing failure. Those zones mix the body's oiliest skin with sweat and fabric rubbing. A leave-a-minute acid wash is the gentlest tool that works.
How to do it: In the shower, lather onto the spot-prone zones. Leave it while you do everything else. A minute or two of contact is where it works. Rinse well. Start every other day. Moisturise after, always.
